Job Summary

The Regional Product Manager is responsible for developing – and then telling – a story to both internal and external audiences about the product(s) that will help drive awareness and demand for it. He or she contributes towards the product strategy and plan in EMEA, coordinates a variety of execution resources (e.g. offer development, pricing, marketing communications, AR/PR) and ensures that direct and indirect sales resources have the knowledge and tools required to convert leads into opportunities and closed business.

Job Description

Define the product strategy for EMEA

  • Contribute towards the overall product strategy for EMEA.

  • Define the market opportunity for CenturyLink products in the region.

  • Perform targeting/segmentation exercises. Include competitive assessments.

Build the Product Plan for EMEA

  • Build positioning and messaging for a product in the region.

  • Develop the competitive comparison guide for use in positioning against like offerings from other organisations.

  • Work with the Bid team to ensure proposal content is up to date with product standards and regional messaging

  • Work with marketing communications to build relevant content for buyer roles to consume in a variety of formats, including white papers, brochures, social media, web pages, online events and more.

  • Collaborate with EMEA Sales on a well-defined sales enablement plan.

  • Lead or assist in the creation of enablement content for direct and indirect sales resources (e.g. playbooks, battlecards, scripts, presentations, training modules and demos).

  • Collaborate with marketing communications to develop and deliver a well-defined marketing communications, demand generation and web plan.

  • Work with AR/PR to develop a social media plan to support both the product’s release as well as its ongoing lifecycle management.


  • Manage launch planning and orchestrate execution of the commercial release of a product, including alignment with existing solution campaign structure.

  • Ensure product content in CenturyLink EMEA websites and online product catalogue is kept up to date.

  • Work with PR to develop a range of customer testimonials for external/internal use, including written case studies.

  • Drive product retention strategies, or assist field marketing in doing so.

  • Conduct win / loss interviews and perform ongoing analysis.

  • Act as product spokesperson at conferences.

Evangelise the products with internal, direct and indirect sales teams to get the products sold.


  • Significant experience in product management, product marketing or sales roles in the technology sector.

  • Specific sales enablement experience

  • Technical/ product category experience (digital transformation, cloud, managed hosting, managed security services etc.)

  • Experienced user of sales force automation tools (e.g. Salesforce.com)

  • Deep expertise and experience in B2B marketing.

  • Experience in software or high-tech marketing is a definite plus.

  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, presentation as well as sales training.

  • Experienced in working with both senior product managers and junior level co-workers.

  • Process and quality orientation with attention to detail.
