Job Summary

Position Objective/ Summary:

The role is accountable for providing high-quality security services to CenturyLink customers. The candidate will have responsibility to learn and perform the full range of security services offered by the CenturyLink security practice. He/ she will function in a delivery capacity and is required to advance their skill set in order to provide relevant expertise to customers.

Job Description


  • Security Governance Support – support security policy, regulatory compliance to comply with Information Security Standards. Review, advice and document security operations changes requested by the customer and provide agreed to direction to CenturyLink service teams for the implementation of associated changes;

  • Security Incident Response Support – serve as a point of contact for security incidents, investigate on and provide post incident reports. Liaise with the security operation services team to advise, analyze and resolve issues across any installed security solutions;

  • Firewall Rule Base Support – provide firewall security architecture, design guidance, implementation guidance, validate compliance, apply patches and signature updates on firewall products;

  • Vulnerability Scans and Reviews – Perform penetration, analyse, report and recommend on missing patches, identified vulnerabilities and hardening analysis;

  • Log Management Services (LMS) Reviews – manage logs, threats, intrusion, define and review custom alert rules and reporting to address specific security or compliance requirements;

  • Onboarding of security log monitoring and management services to CenturyLink platform with architecture design, use cases development and configuration of monitoring and reporting.



  • 10+ years thorough knowledge and experience with security standards (Security architecture analysis, Security Administration, Network and Firewall Engineering);

  • Experience delivering Enterprise Security Consulting Services focused around security strategies/programs and leadership support, including regulatory and governance support, security strategy, security program / PMO development and security crisis prevention/management;

  • Experience delivering Data Security Services focused around data security including data lake/warehouse/analytics security, big data security, security for IoT/cloud and other attack surfaces, “unusual” threat detection and security hygiene;

  • Experience delivering core IT Security Services focused around security architecture and technologies. This includes security network/application architecture, vulnerability assessments, PEN tests, threat assessments, endpoint security, incident remediation, forensics and identity/IAM;

  • Strong analysis skills to perform network and system vulnerability assessments, identifying and prioritizing security issues, and documenting findings and recommendations;

  • Deep expertise in providing security consulting to large scale multi-million dollar programs as well as multiple smaller projects as part of a larger program

  • Knowledge of one or more MSS platforms is preferred

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present to a variety of external audiences, including being able to interact with senior executives;

  • Demonstrated ability to make and take responsibility for decisions on major technical issues;

  • Excellent critical thinking and analysis skills in an enterprise environment;

  • Strong customer focus and quality mindset;

  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills;

  • Possible security technology certifications (CISM, CISSP, etc.).


Bachelors or Equivalent in Computer Science
