General Summary

The Director of the Security Services Practice develops and ensures attainment of new sales/revenue and margin growth for network and cloud based Security Service. Lead EMEA region’s sales efforts delivering against the regional product strategy for security services. .

The Director staffs and directs the specialist sales and technical team providing leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitable growth in line with company expectations. Establishes plans and strategies to expand the customer base across EMEA and contributes to the development of training and educational programs for customers and Account Directors in the EMEA region. The focus of these programs will be to upskill the regional organisation.

The Director will ensure the specialist sales and technical teams support the EMEA Account Teams in both new logo new and existing ‘strategic accounts’ in relation to opportunity development. Support should be in the form of customer engagement, being the subject matter sales overlay and technical expertise, internal structuring of commercial propositions, technical solutions and low level designs through to interaction with Product Management for custom requirements – pulling together the required areas of the business.

The Director will be responsible for the creation of a plan for growth of Security Solutions for each region and be accountable for providing accurate and detailed forecast funnel and Revenue forecast of opportunities in order to meet / exceed sales quota requirements / revenue growth.

The Director will be responsible for insuring that the appropriate level of technical support is provided to enable the sales teams and sales engineers to successful position the security portfolio across the region. Additionally, this leader will ensure Pre-sales validation is in line with product guidance.

The Director is to support the product organisation with Executive Product reviews on a quarterly basis and to provide ad hoc reviews to the VP of product as required.

The Director will demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the company’s Security Services portfolio and the wider industry trends and keep abreast of new technologies and developments. The director and the specialist team are responsible for feeding back market insight into the Product organisation and sales.

Formulates account strategies related to the Security Services portfolio to grow the business and the relationships within related accounts. Develops new strategies to drive business opportunities with target companies.

Oversees and participates in regional training and awareness to ensure over time the capability of the region increases, driving yield at a sales team level. To be a thought leader in the market and Promote CenturyLink and raise awareness by speaking at trade shows, analyst briefings, etc when requested.

Supports and develops initiatives across Sales and Sales engineers and the company primarily focused on sales productivity and efficiency. Expands opportunities into untapped market segments and develops sales propositions.

Owns several key sales support processes which may include opportunity and forecast management, the overall sales process, territory/customer-prospect module management and sales certification.

Other Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of applicable education and experience required; MBA or related graduate degree preferred.

  • Demonstrated sales management experience with in the security sector (at least 5-6 years) working with cloud and premise security sales and sales leadership experience.

  • Experience in managing consultants and technical resources directly and or indirectly

  • Business/financial background is helpful.

  • Exceptional strategic planning, account management and contract negotiations skills required.

  • Experience is consultative sales techniques and account planning (including account profiling, account positioning strategy, customer needs analysis, sales opportunity development, service improvement planning, and long range account management strategies.

  • A track record for consistently exceeding revenue goals.

  • Success leading and managing sales teams

  • Proven ability to hire, manage, mentor and motivate successful, solution oriented sales teams.

  • Strong record in developing and assigning geographic territories and customer/prospect modules.
