An EMEA Senor Sales Overlay position responsible for leading/managing business development activities for Level 3’s most significant opportunities, leading to the expansion and growth of new business and revenue. Accountable as the pursuit lead for deal strategy, commercial strategy, contact strategy and closing strategy on assigned opportunities.
Leads the entire pursuit team while working in a matrixed managed environment , negotiates and closes new sales opportunities in an overlay capacity. Executes comprehensive sales strategies to win new business from the companies most significant target accounts.
Broadens and deepens new logo customer experience and relationships, gaining strategic and lead positioning within the customer sales cycle.
Provides input to Level 3 executive relating to trends and changes taking place within the customer’s organization, make recommendations about future courses of action necessary of the company towards improving its position with the customer.
Provides accurate and detailed monthly forecast. Run a balanced sales funnel to achieve sales quota on a ½ yearly basis and enable individual overachievement to exceed annual sales quota.
Demonstrates deep knowledge of the company's entire product set, articulating back to the client in terms on business value to the customer executive
Demonstrates a balance of strategic and tactical thought leadership, be seen as a inspiration to the account director community. Provide adjacent learning and one the job coaching to the wider matrix managed teams.
*5+ years of experience leading and negotiating large complex deals in a direct or overlay capacity
*Knowledge and understanding of the telecom industry's competitive landscape.
Experience with Salesforce.com preferred.
Demonstrated strong communication, written, and formal presentation skills as well as proficiency in selling to the close.
Self-motivated, pro-active, results-oriented professional with an ability to work with minimum direction.
Proficient in MS office products: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Requires at least 50% or more of time conducting sales activities outside of the office , occasional travel within the EMEA region.
