Performs as account team technical lead by supporting the team in the sales stage including: telecommunications consulting, proposal preparation support, technical presentations to customers, and the analysis and design of Qwest complex products and solutions. Train and educate sales teams on products, processes and systems.\n\nBachelors degree in Engineering or a related field and/or 6-10 years of equivalent experience in sales engineering, systems engineering (networking services, telephony, IP networking equipment), and/or sales\n\nKnowledge of layer 2 and layer 3 LAN/WAN network design, IP/MPLS network services, voice and video over IP (VoIP) networks.\n\nUnderstanding of traditional telecommunications services such as SONET, DS3, DS1, circuit switched voice services, and packet switched data services.\n\nKnowledge of data network CPE including routers, switches, and firewalls from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, and Adtran.\n\nKnowledge of PBX and IP PBX design solutions, including product determination, sizing, capabilities, etc.\n\nExperience with the implementation planning for voice and data networks.
